Croatian CS2 National Team Disqualified from IESF World Esports Championship 2024
The Croatian CS2 national team has been disqualified from participating in the final stages of the IESF World Esports Championship 2024. The team was disqualified before their decisive match for a LAN final slot, where they were scheduled to face the Polish national team.
Tournament organizers discovered that Croatian players had used prohibited software during their match against the Israeli team in the upper bracket. That match ended with a 2-0 victory for Croatia. Despite this violation, the results of the matches played after this game will not be reviewed.
The European qualifiers for the IESF World Esports Championship 2024 are taking place online from July 6 to 14. Teams are competing for five slots in the world final, which will be held in Riyadh in November.
