History of Creation

FlyQuest was founded in 2017 and quickly gained popularity in the esports world, particularly in League of Legends. The organization emerged after purchasing the NA LCS (North American League of Legends Championship Series) franchise from Cloud9. From the very beginning, FlyQuest aimed not only to achieve competitive success but also to contribute to environmental conservation and community initiatives.

Since its inception, FlyQuest has actively promoted ecological projects, including tree-planting initiatives and support for sustainable development. Their approach to esports was unique: they combined athletic achievements with social causes, attracting attention and support from fans.

First Roster

The first roster of FlyQuest in League of Legends was assembled in 2017 and included several talented players:

  • Jason “WildTurtle” Tran — one of the most recognized AD carries in NA LCS, who already had experience competing at a high level.
  • Ali “ImTurtle” Dursun — a support player who also made significant contributions to the team’s strategies.
  • Kwan “Kwon” Li — played as a jungler and provided necessary mobility and support in-game.
  • Paul “sOAZ” Boyer — an experienced top laner with extensive experience on the international stage.
  • Yu “Xmithie” Chao — a well-known jungler who played a crucial role in map management and strategic control.

This roster performed quite well in their debut season, and the team quickly became a notable player on the scene.

Best Moments

Since its inception, FlyQuest has achieved several significant successes:

  1. Participation in NA LCS. In 2017, the team finished 6th in the regular season, allowing them to qualify for the playoffs. Although they did not win the championship, this was an important step for the team’s development.

  2. Reaching International Tournaments. FlyQuest managed to qualify for international competitions where they showcased their skill against the best teams in the world. This not only brought the team experience but also international recognition.

  3. Active Social Stance. FlyQuest stood out not only for its successes in games but also for its active stance on environmental issues. The team launched various initiatives, including #FlyGreen, aimed at raising awareness about environmental challenges.

  4. Reorganization and New Achievements. In 2020, FlyQuest underwent a roster reorganization, bringing in new players like Kumo and PowerOfEvil, which allowed the team to secure 3rd place in the 2020 LCS Spring Split, marking their best achievement at that time.

  5. Playoff Participation. In subsequent seasons, the team continued to participate in the LCS playoffs, achieving greater success and becoming a fan-favorite team.

FlyQuest is a team that not only strives for victories in the esports arena but also actively supports important social initiatives. Their unique approach to esports and commitment to sustainable development makes them particularly appealing to fans. With each passing year, FlyQuest continues to evolve, attracting new players and taking steps toward greater achievements in League of Legends and other disciplines.
