NAVI Defeat SAW and Qualify for Shanghai Major 2024
Ukrainian organization Natus Vincere (NAVI) has secured a spot at the Shanghai Major 2024 in Counter-Strike 2, maintaining its record as the only team to participate in every major.
Today, NAVI defeated the Portuguese team SAW (Nuke — 13:10, Ancient — 13:2) in the RMR tournament, securing their third win and qualifying for the major. Earlier, they claimed victories against Fnatic (13:9) and SINNERS (13:5) but fell to MOUZ (13:4, 8:13, 7:13).
It is yet to be determined whether NAVI will start in the Opening Stage or the Elimination Stage, depending on the outcomes of the FaZe Clan vs. Fnatic and Team Falcons vs. GamerLegion matches. If both FaZe and Falcons win, NAVI will need to play an additional match.
Notably, NAVI will compete in their 21st consecutive major, extending their unparalleled streak of attending every tournament of this level.
The RMR tournament continues, with Ukrainian teams B8 and PassionUA competing in Group B. Matches are broadcast in Ukrainian by the Maincast studio on Twitch and YouTube.
The Perfect World Shanghai Major will take place from November 30 to December 15, 2024, marking the first major held in China. NAVI are coming off their championship win at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, held in March in Denmark.
