History of the Georgian football team
The Georgian national football team, known as the “Crusaders,” has an interesting and controversial history when it comes to qualifying for the European Championships. Although Georgia has not often participated in the European Championships, the team has made significant progress in recent years and has the potential to establish itself at European level in the near future.
A turning point in the recent history of Georgian football was the UEFA Nations League, in which the team achieved several notable victories and qualified for the Euro 2020 playoffs. Although Georgia lost the crucial play-off game against North Macedonia, the team showed remarkable determination and fighting spirit, giving fans hope of future qualification.
